The winner of last week's Ms. Pinny Cush pincushion and pattern is: Prim2Pink
I know I have created a successful pattern when quilters embellish and add their own creative touches to personalize the quilt. Bountiful Beauties is one of those patterns, it makes me so happy to see that a quilter is having fun with the design. The blog this week is inspired by Paula who emailed me a picture of her finished Bountiful Beauties quilt.
Paula writes: "I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy quilting your designs. I have made the dogs, cats, bugs quilts and have several other patterns I can't wait to start . hope you like the additions I added in the bathing beauties...Once I got the girls done I needed to fill it in a bit so I got my grand daughters coloring books out and added a few things so it would be large enough to cover the area where I'm going to hang it at the cottage. The border fabric I picked up in maui when we where there last spring I was so excited when I saw it I could hardly wait to get home...Thanks again for making quilting fun."
Here are some more Bountiful Beauties that quilters have emailed us. I love all the embellishments!
Here is my original version of Bountiful Beauties, you can purchase it here:

I love to go to Ireland - to a tiny island off the west coast called Omey Island!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway and congratulations to Prim2Pink!
I'm dreaming of a vacation in Southern England
ReplyDeleteFavorite vacation spot for us is Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles. Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe it!
ReplyDeleteI long for the fresh beaches of Morrow Bay on the central coast of California.
ReplyDeleteLove looking at all of the "vacation photos" of your Bountiful Beauties. They sure do get around.
I'm dreaming of a vacation on the beaches of Hawaii. That's on our list, but haven't made it there yet!!! I haven't added any embellishments, as I'm not that "brave" yet in my quilting.

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere there is a beach! Any other place is just not worthy.
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern. Thanks for a chance to win.
I love to embellish with buttons and bits of odd trims. And luckily, my favorite vacation spot is just a few hours down the road, in St.Pete, Fl. When we're there...we just veg and soak up the sun - but when it rains...we have some favorite quilt friends to hang with :)
ReplyDeleteI love to go to the beach! We usually go to South Myrtle Beach, but I love anywhere I can be near the ocean.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern! I love Paula's additions! I haven't done much in the way of embellishing, just a few decorative buttons on wall hangings.
Oh, Amy! Pick me! I love this pattern and will order it! My favorite vacation is at my brothers' house with all my siblings where we are young again!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go on vacation to Hawaii. Thanks for the giveaway!
