The winner of the "Quilters Yearbook" downloadable pattern is Mary of Hill Country Quilter

I enjoyed all your comments!!!

Now we are going to give away a free "Meet the Tweets" pattern and fat quarter pack to a lucky winner on Friday March 1st.  Leave a comment about your favorite movie of all time in honor of the Oscars that will be airing Sunday night.  I can't wait to snuggle up in my recliner and blanket to watch all the glam and glitz!!!

The "Meet the Tweets" is one of our new patterns that we introduced this last fall.  You can make SEVEN different quilts from the pattern!  Do you need to make the bird lover in your family something new?  You can make the birds in any color, make them all different colors, polka-dotted, striped, minky...... or buy my new fabric from Timeless Treasures "Rock the Flock".

I just got back from one of my favorite things.  The Pilot Antique Sale here in Lawrence, Kansas.  I was able to get out this morning because my loving husband used the tractor to blade our driveway from the 9" of snow that we got yesterday.  I dropped off a piece of home-made pie at his veterinary clinic to thank him.  They sell pie with a home-made lunch at the antique sale.

I bought two new doll irons a yellow one and a little green one.  Here is a photo of the ones that I have found in the last few months.

I have never seen one of these ..... a gum guard!  I had to have it!  I wouldn't dream of putting a piece of gum on it.  I love that the little Indian is standing guard.  It is only 2 1/2" wide and cost me $10.00.  Love it!

I bought a couple of other things but will show you those later.

Stay warm and have a great weekend!  Amy

  13. Favorite movie....hmm....anything before 1960, not a western, or a gangster movie. Put Cary Grant, or Gary Cooper in it and I'd be parked on the couch.

  17. I love Shadowlands, the story of CS Lewis. There is a line in the movie about God as the sculptor of our lives and hard times being the chisel that makes us into a better sculpture. It's a good reminder that we can rise above the bad things that happen to us when we are in God's hands. The past three weeks, though, I have had my grandson and we've been watching The Lorax. He is absolutely mesmerized and sits ever so still though the entire movie each time. It's is wonderfully done and the message of hope is great, too. Plus it is perfectly delicious to have a cuddly 21 mos old sitting in your lap and ever so content for so long.

  19. I love your bird arrangement and had to laugh. We had a photo line-up made up back when I was a detective on the police dept and all the people were doing just like your birds and looking at the guilty party in the center. I think my favorite movie is Christmas in Connecticut. Hard to choose with so many good ones.
