More Decorating!
I decorate our veterinary hospital ( Bradley Animal Hospital ) for every major holiday. The clients love it...at least the two legged ones.
It was time to bring out the big orange and black tubs for Halloween. I love that you can buy color coordinated tubs for your holiday decorations. It is much easier to find things.
The kids like to drive the receptionists crazy pushing the button on the "Dancing Snoopy". The x-ray shows a sewing needle that was swallowed. Ouch! My husband has gotten those out with a endoscope still threaded before. Amazing.
In case the kids missed the "Dancing Snoopy" they can push the paw on the dancing dog in the ghost costume. Another earful for the receptionists....over and over.....and over
This is our Halloween tree.
I put things up high on book shelves.
I even put things in plants. I can go on and on but I won't. Decorating for holidays is F-U-N!!!!
Leave a comment about your favorite Halloween costume that you dressed up in and we will have a random drawing for three of my "Happy Halloween" patterns this Friday Oct. 7th.

Love the pattern. As a kid, my sister and I were a pair of dice. Pictue a box with hole for arms and head.
ReplyDeleteBest costume ever was when my husband was a hooker, and I was his pimp. He is so hairy it is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costumes were full-head Muppet costumes my mother made from a Simplicity pattern when I was in preschool -- one year I was Kermit and the next year I wore the Fozzie Bear costume that had been made for my older sister.
ReplyDeleteProbably when my kids were 'pre-kindergarten' and they were all little puppies and I was the dog warden with big net and pulled them in a wagon done up as the dog catcher van. Oh, I was tired that night.
ReplyDeleteMy very favorite was when I was VERY pregnant and I dressed up as an angle and my hubby dressed up as the devil. I had a sign around me that said "the devil made me do it!"
ReplyDeleteI don't remember a favorite I've worn, but a couple of years ago I made a headless horseman costume for my son and I loved it!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite costume but I certainly had favorites for my kids. Some of my favorites were pea pod costumes, jack-o-lanterns and a corn stalk. Even when my girls were in college I was making costumes for their date parties! One year they asked for a Jasmine and Aladin costume and last year I made a Max costume from the book "Where the Wild Things Are". So much fun!!
ReplyDeleteMy godmother gave me my first "storebought" costume when I was 7. It was a little gypsy outfit...the only problem was it snowed that year on Halloween. I wore a big coat over it and when we rang the bell and screamed trick or treat I would open the coat (hence flashing the folks with the candy...) After a few streets I went home and my Mom dressed me up in an old skirt and lots of scarves and I became a fortune teller (a warm fortune teller....)
ReplyDeleteI don't really remember it, but I was about 3 and my mom made me a gypsy and my brother a clown. We have a picture and I just love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern. I'm partial to dressing as a witch (matches my personality). My nurse's cape has been used a lot for Dracula types as well. Love all the decorations - I used to decorate like that as well. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteJust finished decorating my clinic as well :) Looks great! Love the radiograph with the needle, lol. Favorite costume...my 11 year old golden boy dressed up as "super bubba" (red cape and all). Love that dog :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was the year my niece dressed up as a witch ... she was only 6 and looked so adorable in her black outfit with the pointed cap, red lipstick and dark eye makeup. I love your Happy Halloween pattern! Thanks for the chance to win a copy.
